Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Mix the dry ingredients. In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
Combine the wet ingredients. In a larger mixing bowl, stir the melted cannabis-infused butter (or oil) and sugar together until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Ensure the mixture is well combined and smooth.
Combine the mixtures. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the brownies soft and fudgy. Stir in any optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips if using.
Bake the brownies. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake as that can dry out the brownies.
Cool and cut. Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares. The cooling step is crucial as it sets the structure and enhances the fudgy texture.
Serve and store. Serve your brownies at room temperature or slightly warmed. Store any leftovers in an airtight container; they can also be refrigerated to extend their shelf life.
Recipe Note
Dosing: Be careful with the amount of cannabis-infused butter or oil used, especially if you are not sure about its potency. Start with a smaller dose and adjust according to your tolerance and the desired potency.
Cannabis infusion: If you don't have pre-infused butter or oil, you can easily make your own by gently heating butter or oil cannabis extract or our isolates, then straining it before use.
When using our cannabutter recipe, your entire batch of brownies should contain approximately 1250 mg of CBD/CBG if infused with hemp, or 500 mg of THC if infused with marijuana extract.
If you cut the batch into 20 brownies, each individual brownie will contain roughly 60mg of CBD or CBG if made with hemp, or about 20mg of THC if made with marijuana extract
